I do have to say that I haven't tried removing/reinstalling PowerDVD 9 yet but still I thought this might be interesting to the community. Worst came to worse as now VLC (2.0.5 BTW) also no longer plays my AACS discs stating the "AACS certificate has been revoked". Therefore I thought to use PowerDVD for those discs but surprsinigly, PowerDVD now stops playback after a few seconds and that's not limited to BD+ but is also true for AACS discs! PowerDVD displays a message saying "PowerDVD cannot play this media file"? Guessing it was due to installing the AACS KEYB and library I deleted the corresponding files and folders from my system but without success. So I followed the instructions for setting up blu-ray playback in VLC and everything was fine until I realised you cannot play BD+-encrypted discs in VLC.
